The space where you create, work and make decisions is part of your world. It can reflect your personality, inspire you and remind you of what matters most.

I create original paintings for women who shape their spaces with intention. For their offices, studios, salons and the places where their dreams and visions take shape. Through my paintings, I want to bring beauty, depth and a sense of flourishing into these spaces.

My name is Janka Kykalová, and I am an artist who creates from the heart. My work is rooted in a deep connection to beauty, femininity and inner transformation. I believe a painting can speak to something subtle and meaningful within us — something that can sometimes be difficult to put into words.

Through art, we touch the soul.

My path to painting has taken me through different ways of working with beauty. From 2009, I worked as a professional make-up artist in fashion and beauty, learning to appreciate light, colour and the uniqueness of each woman’s face. Later, I moved into fashion illustration, working with watercolour and then digital drawing through commercial collaborations.

Over time, this journey led me to canvas and the slow, hands-on process of painting. To layering colour, feeling the materials and finding freedom in my own expression. Working with acrylics allows me to respond intuitively and create paintings with depth, texture and emotion.

My mother nurtured my love of flowers. She loved her garden, her rock garden and every little plant she grew with her own hands. When she became seriously ill, I began creating my first original paintings — and I finished the very first one around the time she passed away. The cherry trees were in bloom. Their blossoms are still there in that painting.

I believe my gift for seeing beauty comes from her. It has stayed with me and lives on in every painting I create.

Flowers, female figures and organic forms make up the visual language of my paintings. Sometimes they intertwine; at other times, I let a flower speak for itself. In their shapes and colours, I find softness, sensitivity and inner strength.

My paintings take shape in layers. I work with expressive gestures and delicate brushstrokes, texture, translucency and a feel for composition. Each painting carries my artistic signature and its own story. What you discover in it matters to me, too.

I paint for women who want to surround themselves with art they feel personally connected to. Women who choose a painting for the feeling it evokes and for what it reminds them of within themselves. I believe such a piece can become a daily source of inspiration and a cherished part of the space where a woman brings her dreams, her business and her purpose to life.
